Heavyweight Fight: Kurtis MacDermid vs Nicolas Deslauriers Round 3
Kurtis MacDermid of the Los Angeles Kings and Nicolas Deslauriers of the Anaheim Ducks have picked up right where they left off last season. The two heavyweights went at it for round 3, their third bout since December 2019. It was a marathon exchange.
This fight was clearly prearranged as they dropped the mitts with just 3 seconds into the game. They must have begged the coaches to start them because why else would they be on the top line? The fight was an absolute marathon; roughly 45 seconds in total. They threw hands until they ran out of gas. The new division alignment may rekindle the Ducks - Kings rivalry, but the battle between these heavyweight enforcers may play a bigger role in that.
Here's the fight from last night. Check out the previous two fights as well! Nothing better than some old school hockey.
