Justin Williams Heading Back to Carolina
Mr Game 7 is heading back to Raleigh as Justin Williams has been hired on as a Special Advisor for the Carolina Hurricanes. Williams will work as the right hand man for President and General Manager Don Waddell.
The three-time Stanley Cup champion played 1264 games in the NHL, recording 797 points. The 39-year-old retired from playing back in October of 2020, playing with the Hurricanes, LA Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, and Washington Capitals.
Waddell had this to say about Williams joining his staff:
Justin has been a major part of the culture change that we've undergone here. We're thrilled to add someone with his experience to our front office.
Williams was the 16th captain in Hurricanes history and now tries to make an impact on the future of the franchise without a helmet on.
Forever a Hurricane.
