Nashville Predators Owners Pissed Off and Confused
The Nashville Predators owners are not happy with their team's performance so far this season and can't believe they have fallen so far down in the Central Division.
Recently CEO Sean Henry spoke with The Athletic and didn't mince any words about what he's seeing from his club:
Everyone's angry and confused. We all believed that this roster would produce more. We all want more, and it doesn't matter who you talk to. We do believe that the makeup of this roster should have produced different results. We thought we were going to be performing differently than we are right now. ...
We'll continue to look at where we are, but who this team is and what we can achieve is going to be laid out in front of us in a couple of weeks. If there was a need to change, then there would be an appetite for it. We all agree that we built the team to do more than we're doing right now and what we need to see in the coming weeks to decide how to best move forward. Everyone is in agreement about that. There's no doubt about that.
Expect any changes to the 6-10-0 Preds to come on their roster and not behind the bench or in the press box. Long time executive David Poile isn't likely going anywhere, but the bold GM isn't shy to make a big deal if he needs to.
Lately the team's been in the headlines about selling off their assets, which after six straight playoff appearances would certainly be a step in the wrong direction.
Interesting times in Smashville.
