Oilers' Kassian Catching Flack For Saying He's A Flames Fan in Cameo Video

Welcome to 2021 where you can pay money to have some of your favorite athletes text you videos, saying whatever you essentially want them to say.

Cameo is the app that allows you to pay for messages from celebrities and back in December, Kassian agreed to send a cheeky video about being a Flames fan and now TSN released only a snippet of it and it's sent the Oilers fan base in turmoil.

Here's what Kassian had to say about the whole incident:

Just to be clear, here is the full video from a cameo that was completely taken out of context that TSN posted. As you can see, the video was recorded in December as a Christmas gift for someone’s friend. It was in good fun from an Oilers fan to a Flames fan and read from a script. Looking back, I should have used better judgement and turned down this request.
