Rumor: Anaheim Ducks Calling Up Top-Prospects

The Anaheim Ducks are the NHL's worst goal-scoring team but help is apparently on the way as the team is likely to call up top prospects Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale next week. The two have been lighting it up in the AHL, meanwhile the big club is averaging 1.83 goals per game.

The 19-year-old Zegras was a former 9th overall pick at the 2019 draft and has been ripping it up wherever he's played the past 12 months. His offensive instincts, creativity and hockey IQ are built for top-line minutes in the show and it's expected he'll jump right onto Ryan Getzlaf's wing.

As for Drysdale, the 18-year-old 6th overall pick from the 2020 draft put on a performance for the ages at the world junior tournament for Team Canada and has carried on his success at the pro level. While it's only eight games, the Ducks know they have an absolute stud in Drysdale and see him as a top-2 pairing defenseman for many years to come.
