Teammates Pay Ultimate Tribute to Sidney Crosby's 1000th Game

Sidney Crosby is a man of superstitions and before his 1000th career NHL game, his Pittsburgh Penguins' teammates paid the ultimate tribute to their captain. They performed one of his on-ice rituals where he stops mid-warmup to re-tie his skates.

Crosby has been the best player in the league for over a decade and is the standard the league's best players shoot for. The 33-year-old Crosby has basically won everything possible when it comes to hockey and his work ethic is probably his best feature. After battling some concussions early on in his career, Crosby battled through and has put up some all-time numbers for his first 1000 games.

The Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native has recorded 468 goals, 810 assists, good for 1278 points over those 1000 games and his 681 penalty minutes certainly jump out at you as a number we didn't see coming.
