Vegas Golden Knights & Florida Panthers Talking Trade
The Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers are reportedly discussing a trade that would improve the Golden Knights' forward depth. What will be offered in return?
The Panthers are 5-0-2 on the season, far exceeding preseason expectations. The Golden Knights will return to action this evening, playing their first game since January 26th. As reported earlier this week, the Panthers are looking to deal Brett Connolly. The Golden Knights are said to be showing interest in acquiring Connolly, but a deal will not be completed until Alex Pietrangelo is back in the line-up.
Connolly is 28 years old and is in year two of four of his contract worth $3.5 million per year. He has not put up any points through 5 games this season. However, he registered 33 points in 69 games last season. He scored nearly 20 goals in a shortened season and there's no reason he can't flip the switch and begin producing again.
Heard some whispers of #VegasBorn looking into Brett Connolly... don’t see them making any moves till Pietrangelo gets back in the lineup and they’re at full strength
