Video: Cale Makar's Assist on This Kadri Goal Is a Thing of Beauty

Last night against the Arizona Coyotes, Cale Makar had an amazing assist on a Nazem Kadri goal that is worth a second look. Hell, watch it three times because it's great.

With the Avs already up 2-0 with under 10 minutes to go in the third, Makar stole the puck on a Coyotes dump in attempt and started taking it up the ice. He bobbled it a bit as he crossed centre ice, then completely fell to one knee as he crossed the blue line.

Makar maintained possession as no 'Yotes defender was able to catch him with the speed he had gathered and then, he pulled his hands up close together on his stick and feathered a beautiful pass off to Kadri who tapped it in.

This goal ended up being the game winner. The Coyotes were able to muster a comeback effort with two goals in the third, but fell just short. If it weren't for this goal, the game could have gone either way.

There's no doubt about it this Colorado team is fun to watch. Last year they took the Dallas Stars to seven games in the second round. Fans of the team hope they learned something from that experience that can be applied this upcoming post-season.

The Avalanche haven't made it past the second round of the playoffs since they lost in the Conference Final in 2002 against the eventual Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings in seven games.
