Video: Ducks' Prospect Artyom Galimov With Some Ridiculous Dangles

Anaheim Ducks prospect Artyom Galimov can fly. And in this video, he shows us he has some nifty mittens. With some ridiculously dirty dangles, Galimov - who plays for the Ak Bars Kazan - slices through his Salavat Yulaev Ufa opponents during action in the Kontinental Hockey League, Feb. 18.

Stéphane Da Costa has never had an easier goal.

I especially love the move he makes at the beginning, which leads to two Yulaev UFA players running into each other head-on.

Some of you may remember the recipient of this beautiful pass (Da Costa) from his NHL days, when he played with the Ottawa Senators and their American Hockey League affiliate in Binghamton from 2010-14. He's been in Europe ever since, playing in the KHL and the Swiss National League. Da Costa, 31, leads his team in scoring and currently sits 5th overall in the KHL with 26 goals, 55 points.

As for Galimov, Ducks fans should be licking their lips when they see the hands on this kid. This is his third year in the KHL. The 21-year old was drafted by the Ducks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, 129th overall.

With moves like that, you might think Galimov is running away with the KHL scoring lead but, he isn't. He's only got five goals, 14 points in 37 games played in the KHL. At the 2019 World Junior Hockey Championships with Team Russia, he had one goal, three points in seven games. Last year, he tallied 13 goals, 23 points in 55 games with Kazan.

He's not exactly a big player, which means he will have a big adjustment to make when/if he plays in the National Hockey League. Galimov comes in a 5-foot-11, weighing 176 pounds.

Ak Bars Kazan would end up losing this game, 3-2. Kazan is currently the best team in the KHL, one point ahead of CSKA Moscow.
