Video: Jacob Markstrom Lays Huge Hit on Tanner Pearson

The Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames are going to be sick of each other soon as the new North division has these rivals playing each other, what feels like every other game. On Wednesday night it was their 6th matchup against each other so far this season and had the Canucks come out on top 5-1.

With Jacob Markstrom in net for the Flames, who of course used to play for the Canucks, it's certainly bringing a new element to the rivalry. While this game wasn't Markstrom's best performance, his decision making early on in the second period is what everyone's talking about.

Markstrom decided to come out of his net and challenge Canucks forward Tanner Pearson to a puck race and let's just say, Markstrom won and Pearson went ass over tea kettle.
