Video: Leafs' Auston Matthews Scores Highlight Reel Goal
The Toronto Maple Leafs battled it out with the Vancouver Canucks for a second time on Saturday and by next week, the Canucks are going to be sick and tired of seeing #34 for the Leafs.
Auston Matthews is on an absolute tear as the Leafs superstar has scored in seven straight games and nine in a row if you don't count the one game he sat due to hand soreness. While he's creeping up the all-time Maple Leafs list, Matthews is sitting on top of the NHL list this season as his ten goals leads the league. He's also on track for some American History.
Scoring twice for the @MapleLeafs vs VAN tonight, Auston Matthews now has had 57 goals over his last 82 career games (dating back to 2018-19's finale). He also owns 168 in the NHL overall, moving him past a HHOF player for sole possession of 5th on this list of US-born superstars pic.twitter.com/4uq2YcnNnu

While he's on pace for 51 goals in 56 games, there's certainly a chance he scores 50 this season. If he keeps it up and makes them pretty like this one, good luck stopping him.
