The Edmonton Oilers have claimed goaltender Alex Stalock off waivers from the Minnesota Wild and reports are he will be reporting to the big club.
Stalock is going to report to the Oilers, just in case there was any question

While Mike Smith has been on fire since returning from injury for the Oilers, they added Stalock to provide some more insurance behind Smith in their crease. So for the 33-year-old Stalock hasn't appeared in a game this season, however he played 38 games last season with the Wild, finishing the year with a 2.67 goals against average and a .910 save perecentage.
Hearing #mnwild may be placing goalie Alex Stalock on waivers today. He's working way back from upper body issue. If he clears, he'd be eligible for Iowa or taxi squad.

20 wins last season, so obviously Wild will hope he clears. #sabres do need a goalie, so could be interest
While Smith is 6-1-0 on the season, backup Mikko Koskinen has struggled, sitting with a 7-8-0 record. Stalock will push Koskinen for the back up duties moving forward.
