Islanders Anders Lee Done for the Season
The New York Islanders are one of the best team's in the NHL this season and if they want to have continued success, they are going to have to do it without captain, Anders Lee. The forward suffered a torn ACL and will undergo surgery. Lee will miss the remainder of this season and likely some time next season as well.

The news was confirmed by general manager Lou Lamoriello, as the incident occurred last week in a game against the New Jersey Devils. Lee got tangled up with Devils forward Pavel Zacha and the worst possible outcome was revealed.
Lee is a huge part of the Islanders offense and currently leads the team with 12 goals. Look for the Isles to make a trade with their 'extra' cap space as Lee is headed for the LTIR.
