Jamie Benn Accused Of Being Anti-LGTBQ & Transphobic

Dallas Stars' Captain Jamie Benn was presented as a supporter of the LGTBQ community by the NHL and the NHLPA. He is now accused of being just the opposite. Benn's recent social media activity is being held against him.

Benn is accused of being transphobic after supporting a social media post that advocates for the separation of men and women in sports. Benn liked the alleged anti-trans post, which directly contradicts his public support of the LGTBQ community. Benn has posed with a stick taped with the pride colors in the past. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on hot-button issues, but this public contradiction is not a good look for Benn or the NHL.
