Latest on a Rangers' Anthony DeAngelo Trade
At first when Anthony DeAngelo of the New York Rangers was made available on the trade market word was teams were lining up and according to Darren Dreger of TSN there was a ton of interest.
We've all come to see that interest hasn't sparked any firm offers that the Rangers are considering. Now, according to Frank Seravalli of TSN, DeAngelo wants to be loaned to the AHL so he can get himself back into game shape, meanwhile the Rangers don't want him anywhere near their minor league team in Hartford.
The Rangers have given DeAngelo's agent permission to seek an AHL team who is willing to bring the player on board, but at this time they've had no luck.

The 25-year-old DeAngelo is making $4.8 million on the salary cap this season and next and even though he's a promising young offensive right-handed shot defenseman, his antics and the 'side-show' involved doesn't appear to be worth the risk to many teams.
DeAngelo got the boot from New York after he chirped his goaltender for letting in a soft goal in overtime which then led to a fight in the dressing room.
You live and you learn and it sounds like DeAngelo is going to have lots more time on his hands to learn.
