Oilers GM Discusses Potential Trade Scenarios
Edmonton Oilers general manager Ken Holland met with the media on Thursday and discussed his team's trade deadline approach. From all accounts if the Oilers are bringing in money on the cap, expect to see money heading out.
Makes complete sense as the team is pressed against the cap but more so it means they could be willing to move players on their team with term on their contracts. The Oilers are expected to gauge the market on defenseman Ethan Bear and forward James Neal.

The Oilers have been linked to Jake DeBrusk from the Boston Bruins and Eric Staal from the Buffalo Sabres as they look to find ways to balance out their scoring and find contributors for the bottom-six. As we all know the Oilers are a two-headed monster, and while Draisaitl and McDavid are scary as hell, you can't win with just two players in the playoffs.
Keep an eye on the Oilers as they are likely to be active before the April 12th trade deadline and given the COVID-19 protocols for Canada, a deal could be coming sooner than later.
