Rumor: Jack Eichel to be Dealt to the Boston Bruins
Buffalo Sabre Jack Eichel is the biggest name on the trade rumor market and the latest has him not on the same page of his head coach, Ralph Krueger. This level of miscommunication shouldn't go unnoticed and has sparked some more speculation regarding his future with the team.
While at this point it doesn't appear the Sabres are ready to send their captain packing, teams are starting to gear up for a chance to make their offer. The latest coming from the Boston Bruins who are reportedly 'all over' Eichel and want him to be a part of their franchise.
Who would Buffalo want for Jack Eichel? 'McAvoy and Frederic, probably minimum': https://t.co/9egJrd2USc

Boston is one team who have managed the cap very well and can easily fit in Eichel and his $10 million salary next season. And while the team could see him as the perfect replacement for veteran Patrice Bergeron, dealing for Eichel will certainly come at a cost. The article from the Athletic regarding this rumor has the team packaging Charlie McAvoy to the Sabres.
Would the Bruins be willing to part with McAvoy, a young potential Norris trophy candidate? Hard to imagine at this point in his career, but the Bruins do have other pieces that could entice the Sabres to make the move.
One name to keep an eye on if these two teams do decide to complete a trade is John Beecher. The first-round selection from 2019 just had shoulder surgery but has turned some heads since being selected 30th overall.
As for Eichel, the Sabres are in the middle of another losing streak, Taylor Hall hasn't signed an extension yet, the coaching staff isn't safe and Rasmus Dahlin is embarrassed to be a part of their team.
Just another day in paradise.
