Rumor: New York Rangers To Fire Head Coach David Quinn

The coaching carousel of last season doesn't seem to be repeating itself. Yes, Calude Julien has recently been fired and a number of coaches are on the hot seat, but this years firings are not expected to match last season. Despite the logistical and quarantine issues, it appears that David Quinn's days are numbered.

The New York Rangers have added Artemi Panarin, Kaapo Kakko, and first overall pick Alexis Lafreniere. Additionally, Igor Shestyerkin and Alexandar Geogiev were expected to be the league's best tandem. The Rangers were supposed to be the one of the best teams in the NHL, but they have been anything but.

The Rangers are 6 points out of a playoff spot with a record of 8-9-3. Their roster, on paper, is one of the best in the entire NHL. Their woes have lead to reports believing Head Coach David Quinn will be be relived of his duties. Quinn has been a great bench boss for the Rangers, but their lack of effort and results has lead many to believe his departure will only benefit the team.
