St Louis Blues Make Surprising Roster Move
The St Louis Blues are taking on the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night and their lineup is going to look a little bit different, as forward Mike Hoffman has surprisingly been made a healthy scratch.
The 31-year-old has one goal is his last 10 games and has been struggling on both sides of the puck lately. His compete level has come into question multiple times this season and it's obvious head coach Craig Berube is trying to send a message Hoffman's way.
So far this season, Hoffman has managed 20 points in 33 games and is making $4 million against the cap. He signed with the Blues on a one-year deal and now some are wondering if the team is open to moving him before the trade deadline.
No injury for Hoffman. Healthy scratch, per source. #stlblues

If the Blues end up breaking off this marriage, expect to see a long list of suitors for Hoffman's scoring on the wing. The likes of the Edmonton Oilers, Carolina Hurricanes Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs would all be very interested if he becomes available.
