Video: Blackhawks Murphy Ejected for High Hit on Lightning's Cernak
The Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning matched up on Sunday in a game that saw Blackhawks defender Connor Murphy get ejected in the second period.
The play happened behind the net, half-way through the second period and Murphy cut in and caught Cernak watching the puck and was certainly in a vulnerable position before he was hammered by Murphy.
The NHL's player safety department has been busy recently with the seven game suspension of Washington Capital Tom Wilson so we'll be curious to see how Murphy is disciplined. Don't expect seven games from Murphy as he doesn't have the resume like a Tom Wilson but this will certainly be evaluated and rightfully assessed.

So far this season, the 27-year-old Murphy has two goals and seven points in 20 games.
