Video: Buffalo Sabres Lose Another Goaltender to Injury
It's gone bad to worse for the Buffalo Sabres as goaltender Carter Hutton left Monday's game against the New York Rangers with a leg injury.
The play occurred when Rangers forward Julien Gauthier slammed into Hutton and the netminder had to leave the game immediately.
The Sabres have become the punchline of the league so far this season and the team is already without goaltender Linus Ullmark. As of right now it appears the Sabres crease is Dustin Tokarski's to lose.
Interim head coach Don Granato had this to say about Ullmark's return to the net:
Linus has not practiced with us, so a big part of having him on the trip was to get that process started. Then we'll have more information as we put him on the ice. We're going to be taking in information, as is Linus, to work out any projection from that point. Hopefully, sooner than later.
