Video: Connor McDavid Lays Nasty Elbow on Jesperi Kotkaniemi

The Edmonton Oilers were getting beat 3-0 by the Montreal Canadiens and Connor McDavid was frustrated. So much so, he decided to deliver a high elbow on Canadiens forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi.

This play is going to be reviewed by the NHL's player safety department and it appears to be the first time that McDavid could possibly get suspended. The elbow is was uncalled for and it was dirty.

The Oilers were taking on a well-rested Canadiens team who hadn't played in 10 days and were shutout by Carey Price 4-0.
