Video: Lightning's Victor Hedman Helped Off the Ice After Awkward Fall

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman needed to be helped off the ice on Tuesday as the towering d-man was tripped up and crashed awkwardly into the boards.

The play happened against the Columbus Blue Jackets after Hedman shot the puck and was tripped up by the defender. He appeared to get his leg stuck under him and came down funny on his knee and ankle.

The 30-year-old Hedman is having a stellar season with 33 points in 35 games. The great news for Lightning fans was the fact he came back not to long after and played the rest of the game.
