Video: Sens Goalie Joey Daccord Suffers Nasty Knee Injury
The Ottawa Senators are paper thin with goaltending depth and the team just took another hit on Wednesday night. Netminder Joey Daccord had to be helped off the ice after what appeared to be a left knee injury as he was trying to slide post to post.
With non-contact injuries like this one, you always fear it's a torn ligament, as usually the player can feel something is seriously wrong and from the look of Daccord, that unfortunately looked like the case.
This was only the sixth start for the 24-year-old Daccord, who wasn't even on the Sens radar before this season. The team's already lost Matt Murray and Marcus Hogberg to injuries. The Senators claimed Anton Forsberg off waives on Wednesday so perhaps he's the next goalie to get a look for Ottawa.
Wishing all the best for Joey Daccord who's as nice as they come.
