Video: Sharks' Blichfeld Ejected for Dirty Hit on Avs' MacKinnon

Joachim Blichfeld of the San Jose Sharks was ejected during the third period of Wednesday night's game against the Colorado Avalanche after a brutal hit to the head on Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon.

Before you start to google who Blichfeld is a 22-year-old winger who's a former seventh-round pick, 210th overall. He's appeared in three games last season for the Sharks and was suiting up for his first action of this season.

Obviously Blichfeld was just looking to make an impression on his head coach but getting thrown out for a dirty hit is not the way to accomplish what you're looking for.

As for MacKinnon, his head coach mentioned he was feeling pretty good after the game and will be evaluated once again on Thursday.
