Anaheim Ducks Receiving Trade Offers for Ryan Getzlaf
The Anaheim Ducks management team's phone has been busy these past few weeks as teams across the NHL have called the team asking about the future of captain Ryan Getzlaf.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Montreal Canadiens were one team that inquired and were willing to make an offer should Getzlaf had been open to a move out of California. From all accounts it appears the long-time Duck is comfortable with his family in Anaheim and doesn't want to be moved for a chance at another Stanley Cup.
Back in November of 2020, we initially brought you the story of Getzlaf's name coming up at the trade deadline and sure enough that was the case.
The veteran center is not having his best season as he enjoys the back nine of his career. So far in 36 games, Getzy has managed to score three times and chip in with 15 assists.
Look for the Ducks to be active before Monday's deadline as they try and sell off some assets, but one name don't expect to see moved is Ryan Getzlaf.
