Anaheim Ducks Ryan Miller to Retire at Season's End

This season will be all she wrote for Ryan Miller as the veteran goaltender of the Anaheim Ducks will be calling it a career after the 2020-21 campaign.

Miller leaves the NHL as the winningest goaltender ever born in the United States and currently sits with 390 victories in 794 career games.

The 40-year-old has spent his final four seasons with the Ducks in Anaheim and has built quite the friendship with Ducks starter John Gibson. Miller moved into 14th on the all-time wins list this season, passing a fellow Buffalo Sabre great, Dominik Hasek. He's going to finish just shy of the 400 win mark, but leaves the NHL as one of the best all-time.

Expect to see Miller suit up for at least one more game for the Ducks as head coach Dallas Eakins recently confirmed this to the media.

Here's the statement from Miller:

It was a dream come true when I played my first NHL game and it has been a privilege to spend 18 years as a professional. I have decided that I am going to retire after the season having been given more time doing what I love than I could ever have hoped for. Thank you to you my teammates and staff, past and present. I’m thankful to so many who made my career possible and helped me on my journey from youth hockey to the NHL. Thank you to my family for supporting me with so much love and enthusiasm.

Congrats to Ryan Miller on a fine career!
