Blue Jackets' Lose Another Trade Asset to Injury

The Columbus Blue Jackets lost another trade chip as news dropped on Wednesday that forward Boone Jenner will miss the remainder of the season due to a broken finger.

The incident happened on Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning when a Patrik Laine shot was deflected and hit Jenner in the hand. Jenner has been linked to several teams as the 27-year-old has one year left on his contract, paying him $3.75 million against the cap

Jenner's managed to score eight goals and tally 17 points in 41 games so far this season. Teams that were interested in acquiring Jenner included the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche and Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Blue Jackets already lost Riley Nash for at least four weeks with injury so their trade talk turns to Nick Foligno and Patrik Laine. The Jackets currently sit on the outside looking in at the playoff picture and should management receive a substantial offer, expect to see some changes in Columbus.
