Cole Caufield's Debut With Montreal Was Disappointing
The Montreal Canadiens used an emergency call up to add prospect Cole Caufield to the lineup on Monday as the team took on the Calgary Flames. And while the hype was real and Twitter nearly broke once the news dropped, his performance on the night was so-so.
Sure, totally understand it's one game and he's likely going to have a fine career, but considering the hype, the outcome didn't even come close to living up to it. Caufield brought some energy at times meanwhile was getting in the way of his teammates at others, which in this case led to a breakaway.

One of the best prospects outside of the NHL ended up playing 15:40 and the Habs won the game. Caufield finished with no points and four shots on goal, which to be honest is a decent amount for your first game.
Still, I guess we were all expecting magic, which maybe is a touch selfish, but regardless we didn't see much for fireworks. His hot laps in warmup with no bucket on may have been the highlight of the night.
Don't worry Habs fans, it won't be long until you see something that blows your mind and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside because of how lucky Montreal is to have Cole Caufield on their side.

I'm expecting nothing less than a hat-trick from Cole Caufield tonight. Am I being unreasonable?
