Columbus Blue Jackets Lose Trade Asset to Long-Term Injury
The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without forward Riley Nash for at least four weeks after the forward suffered a knee injury on Sunday against the Florida Panthers. This was brutal news for Jackets' management as they were expected to be dealing Nash out of town before Monday's trade deadline.

Tough break. Nash, a pending UFA, was likely to be moved at next Monday’s trade deadline.
May have played his last game for Blue Jackets.
The 31-year-old Nash is in the final year of his contract that sees him making $2.75 million against the salary cap. In 37 games this season the veteran winger has tallied two goals and seven points. His best season came in 2017-18 as a member of the Boston Bruins where finished the season with 41 points in 76 games.
In 578 career games Nash has recorded 63 goals and 172 points, while also appearing in 32 playoff games. With the injury news this season, it's likely he doesn't see anymore action and will hope to be signed this offseason as a free-agent.
