It's been an up-and-down season to say the least for Hart as he's battled through some struggles, through some injuries and through some coaching decisions to rest him to find his confidence. The one-time can't miss prospect appeared in 27 games this season, finishing with a 3.67 GAA and a .877 save%.
The 22-year-old is set to be a restricted free-agent this offseason and it will be interesting to see what the team decides to do. It's likely the Flyers will sign Hart to a bridge contract instead of a long-term extension.
So far in his 101 career NHL games, Hart has complied a 49-37-9 record with two shutouts. His Flyers will carry on without him to finish the regular season as the team isn't heading to the playoffs.
