Leafs' Auston Matthews Ruled OUT vs the Jets
It appears Auston Matthews still isn't 100% as the Toronto Maple Leafs superstar is dealing with a nagging injury that will keep him out of Thursday's matchup against the Winnipeg Jets.

Day-to-day issue, not something that is expected to keep him out long
Missing his fourth game of the season ... Leafs won previous three, all against the Oilers @TSN_Edge
As Mark Masters mentioned this will be the fourth game Matthews has missed, the first three were because of his wrist, and this is either wrist or shoulder related. It's been a grind of a season for #34 of the Maple Leafs and the team just wants him to be 100% healthy come playoff time.
The Leafs currently sit in first place in the North division, five points up on the Jets. Meanwhile Matthews is leading the league in goals, tallying 32 goals in 40 games so far this season. If he stayed healthy this entire season we could have potentially seen a 50-goal season from the Arizona native.
It feels like if this was a playoff game Matthews would be suiting up but because it's not, he sits. John Tavares is expected to take his spot on the team's top-line that includes Mitch Marner and Alex Galchenyuk.
Leafs Nation is holding their breath Matthews can return on Saturday night when the Leafs take on the Vancouver Canucks. That's if the Canucks are physically able to dress a team of course.
