NHL Postpones 3 Colorado Avalanche Games Amid COVID Outbreak
The NHL has been busy changing up the schedule and checking in on the health of their players as the league had to postpone three games for the Colorado Avalanche. The team is the latest club to deal with a COVID-19 outbreak as three players had to enter the protocol list.
After Thursday's testing a positive test came back which cancelled the team's morning skate on Friday and then the games shortly after. Goaltender Philipp Grubauer tested positive earlier in the week and his head coach Jared Bednar expects his netminder to be out for a few weeks.
The Avs were slated to play the LA Kings twice, and the St Louis Blues next week and everything will be moved. The NHL doesn't expect the team to be able to open up their facilities until at least April 21.
With the craziness that went on in Vancouver with the Canucks, the league is trying to do their best to ensure another wild outbreak doesn't happen on another team.
