Rumor: Buffalo Sabres Trading Pending Free-Agent Netminder
The Buffalo Sabres are expected to be sellers at this season's trade deadline and one name you can expect to see moved is goaltender Linus Ullmark.
The 27-year-old is a pending free-agent who is making a reasonable $2.6 million on the cap this season. Ullmark has enjoyed himself a solid season on a bad team, recording a .921 save % in 16 games this season, which ranks among the league leaders.
There are a number of teams interested and who have contacted the Sabres about a deal, and these teams include the Colorado Avalanche, Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs. All three teams have different levels of interest and it will be interesting to see what the asking price will be from Sabres rookie general manager, Kevyn Adams.

If the Sabres don't end up dealing Ullmark, expect to see a multi-year contract extension completed in the offseason for around $3.5 million per season.
