Rumor: Dallas and Toronto Talking Trade

The Dallas Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly been in contact regarding their trade needs and one name that has come up is defenseman Jamie Oleksiak of the Stars.

The towering d-man would provide the Maple Leafs with a physical specimen for their bottom-pair and could be a great shut-down partner for Zach Bogosian. It's likely Travis Dermott and a prospect would be headed to Dallas in the deal.

So far this season, Oleksiak has appeared in 39 games, recorded eight points and 31 penalty minutes. Last season the 28-year-old was a beast for the Stars on their run to the Stanley Cup finals and the Leafs could be thinking the same thing for this postseason.

There's no doubt the Leafs could use some added toughness and the 6'7 Toronto native Oleksiak could be the perfect fit.
