Taylor Hall Traded to the Boston Bruins
The Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins have agreed to a deal that sees Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar head to Boston in exchange for Anders Bjork and a 2nd-round pick.
Confirming. Hall and Lazar to Boston for Bjork and 2nd round draft pick.

The biggest name on the trade market that you either love or hate signed in Buffalo to play alongside Jack Eichel, to play for ex-coach Ralph Krueger and to propel his one-year $8 million contract into a long-term deal with the Sabres. Let's just say none of this went as planned.
Hall hopes to move on and enjoy a long playoff run with the Bruins. He can close the book on his Sabres career after posting only two goals and 17 assists in 37 games.
It's going to be fascinating to watch if the 29-year-old can find his scoring touch and provide the Bruins with some production from their second line. Meanwhile Lazar should fit in nicely and compliment the team's bottom-six. He's a character player and a great teammate. The Sabres on the other hand turn their attention to the future with Bjork and the second-round selection and are busy trying to lock down goaltender Linus Ullmark to a long-term deal.
While the Bruins are likely done, the Sabres could still be active before Monday at 3pm eastern.
It seems like a good time to point out that Taylor Hall currently has the seventh-worst single season shooting percentage among all NHL players since 2013-14. The #bruins may be purchasing some regression to the mean here along with his talent at a bargain cost.

Not surprisingly, but the Sabres retained 50 percent of Taylor Hall's $8 M salary/AAV to facilitate the trade
