Three-Player Trade Between the Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks
The Colorado Avalanche are welcoming back a familiar face as the team has acquired forward Carl Soderberg from the Chicago Blackhawks. Soderberg spent 2015-2019 with the Avalanche and looks to pick things up where he left off.
The 35-year-old veteran signed in Chicago on a one-year deal at $1 million and at the time many felt like it could be an under the radar type of contract. Soderberg's is having a decent season with 15 points in 34 games and now gets flipped for a couple of assets.

As for the other moving parts, Josh Dickinson is a 23-year-old undrafted center who has bounced around between the ECHL and AHL and Ryder Rolston is a former fourth-round pick of the Avs, who at 19 provides the Blackhawks with some potential to develop. He just wrapped up his season at the University of Notre Dame.
Many felt the Blackhawks would be busy and that's certainly been the case this trade deadline. Meanwhile the Avalanche add someone they know what to expect from and could be looking to make one more splash before 3pm eastern.
