Video: Flyers' James van Riemsdyk Scores With His Face
Here's one way to tie up a hockey game as Philadelphia Flyers forward James van Riemsdyk scored a power-play goal after getting a puck in the face and having it trickle in.
The painful play happened in the first period of Thursday's matchup against the New York Rangers and the Flyers were quickly down 1-0. The Flyers then received a man advantage and JVR went to his familiar spot in front of the net and ended up eating his 15th goal of the season.
The best part is he scored again later in the game and didn't have to eat any rubber that time, and the Flyers ended up coming back to win the game.
They say victory always tastes sweet...well for JVR he may not be tasting much these next few days.
