Video: Wayne Simmonds Seeks Revenge on Alex Edler's Face
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks battled it out on Thursday night. The last time the two teams played, Canucks defenseman Alex Edler was kicked out of the game for kneeing Leafs forward Zach Hyman. Hyman hasn't played since and on Thursday Leafs forward Wayne Simmonds made sure Edler paid for his actions.
Simmonds went in on the forecheck early on in the first period and ensured Edler felt the cross-checks and then basically stood right in front of him and gave him no choice but to drop the gloves. Some love it and some hate it as Edler isn't considered a dirty player, admitted he felt horrible about the Hyman hit and he's never been in a hockey fight.
