Boston Bruins' Taylor Hall Having Fun Again
Taylor Hall went to Boston for two reasons, to try and win a Stanley Cup and to have fun again. So far he's well on his way to accomplishing both. Not only is Hall having the time of his life, he doesn't want it to end and is looking for a long-term contract extension in Bean Town.
First things first, the Bruins have another playoff series to win and are looking ahead to the New York Islanders. Hall was able to face the Islanders with the Bruins a few times near the end of the regular season and managed to score four goals in three games. While the Islanders were able to get past the Bruins earlier on in the season, when Hall was in their lineup it was a different story.
I do want to play here, not just for one or two more years, hopefully longer than that. I don't even know what my worth is right now, honestly. I'm not worried about my contract right now, it's something we'll figure out in the summer. I have much bigger things to worry about as a player, as a teammate. When I came to Boston, I was just going to just take things in stride. Enjoy every day. And it's worked out. We've won one round, we had a pretty good end of the regular season, but it showed me how fun hockey can be. And that's what I've learned here so far.
The Bruins have made it clear they will access everything with Hall after the playoffs but their hope is to get a deal done. Considering the core in tact and the culture that's been created in Boston, Hall appears to be the perfect compliment for the next wave.
