Columbus Blue Jackets Bring Back John Davidson

The Columbus Blue Jackets are bringing back John Davidson to be their President of Hockey Operations after the long time executive was let go abruptly by the New York Rangers.

After the 'Tom Wilson Saga' Rangers owner James Dolan decided to fire Davidson and several others to send a message for their non-support for the wild statement he released. Well, it didn't take long for Davidson to land on his feet, just like many of us expected. It's full circle for JD as he held the very same role in Columbus for seven seasons from 2012-19. He then resigned to head to the Big Apple.

Davidson will oversee general manager Jarmo Kekalainen, and the Blue Jackets are expected to have a very interesting off season. There's been rumblings about another big trade coming out of Columbus as they try and find a #1 center. The team has some depth in the crease and on their wings, so it's likely a package of players heading out.

The team is also without a head coach after John Tortorella and the team mutually parted ways, so it's time to hit the ground running for Davidson as things are moving and shaking for the Blue Jackets.
