Huge Update on the Health of Leafs' Frederik Andersen
The Toronto Maple Leafs delivered some great news to Leafs Nation on Wednesday as goaltender Frederik Andersen is set for game action this week. The Danish netminder will join the AHL's Toronto Marlies on a conditioning stint.
Frederik Andersen will start an AHL conditioning loan starting tomorrow and should see action in half of tomorrow's Marlies game.

Andersen has been out of the lineup for a couple of months after suffering a knee injury. Meanwhile for the Leafs, Jack Campbell has emerged as a legit starting goaltending option and has played fantastic in the place of Andersen. This has left Leafs Nation debating until their blue in the face about who should be starting game 1 of the playoffs.
Andersen is 13-8-2 on the season, posting a 2.91 GAA and a .897 save %. Campbell on the other hand is 15-2-2 with a 2.12 GAA and a .925 save %, which is near the top of the entire league. If Andersen does get the net for the playoff run, expect him to be on an extremely short leash. There's also a chance the Leafs have both Andersen and Campbell play in the first two games of the opening series.
Regardless, it's the hottest topic in the circles of Leafs Nation and Andersen's play in his conditioning stint will have a giant spotlight on it this week.
