Maple Leafs Lose Key Forward to Injury
The Toronto Maple Leafs battled it out with the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night and Leafs Nation is holding their breath as forward Nick Foligno left the game with an upper-body injury.
The newest Maple Leaf has been everything as advertised since heading to Toronto in a blockbuster trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets and has found instant chemistry playing alongside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
The injury occurred during the second period in what looked like a harmless play, however Foligno was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. Considering it was a non-contact injury, this could be the worst possible scenario for Foligno and the Leafs.
More information is expected on Tuesday after a full medical examination.
