Maple Leafs Provide Update on Nick Foligno's Health

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced they don't expect to have Nick Foligno in their lineup for at least the next couple of games as the forward recovers from an upper-body injury.

The injury occurred during the Leafs matchup against the Montreal Canadiens earlier this week and it was a non-contact play where Foligno came up lame. It does sound like it's nothing too serious and the forward should be back for the start of the playoffs.

Foligno has been great for the Leafs since joining the team at the trade deadline and has found instant chemistry with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner. The coaching staff wanted to get him suited on the team's second-line as well with John Tavares and William Nylander for a couple of games, but it doesn't appear that's going to be an option anymore. Expect to see Foligno with Matthews and Marner come playoff time.
