Penguins Tristan Jarry Called Out for Game One Performance
The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the New York Islanders in game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the talk of the game was the lack of big saves from Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry.
The 26-year-old netminder does not have much for any professional playoff experience and there's already take the stage may be too big for the player after he was unable to come up big when he's team needed it most. Jarry stopped 37 of 41 shots during game one, which results in a .902 save %. Some even went as far as wondering if he was using Matt Murray's glove for the big game, which is maybe a touch harsh considering it was one game.
However, when you play for the Pittsburgh Penguins who come with a winning pedigree, the goaltender needs to be stellar and in game one it wasn't. Jarry has only two NHL playoff appearances heading into these playoffs, and six games in the AHL. It's only one game so far, but boy oh boy has the noise begun. Here's some of the banter and take a look for yourself at the highlights below:

Refusing to make a glove save
The Penguins deserved better than what Tristan Jarry gave them today. This wasn’t a playoff worthy performance from him in any fashion. Four goals tonight, all from nowhere circumstances.

I thought coming into this series that the #Pens biggest question mark was in net. Not to be reactionary, but that stands after today.

Not trying to get on Tristan Jarry. I do think he's a good starting goalie. But PIT is deep everywhere else. They need their goalie, though.
