St Louis Blues to Let Several Players Walk After Playoff Exit

The St Louis Blues were the first team eliminated from the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs and the team is expected to make some changes this offseason. With 13 free agents and some players who could use a change of scenery, you can pencil the Blues in on the trade market.

Mike Hoffman, Tyler Bozak, and Vince Dunn are all expected to not be re-signed with Dunn the most likely to return as he's a restricted free-agent and the team could leverage their control. Hoffman and Bozak were rumored to be in trade talks at the deadline and both free-agents are expected to be playing somewhere else next season.

The Blues had a tough season after Alex Pietrangelo left for the Vegas Strip, and their leading-scorer David Perron got nailed with some horrible timing landing on the COVID-19 protocol in the playoffs. The team now sets themselves up for next season with just under $15 million in cap space.

The Blues need some more balanced scoring up front and will look to target another center. Expect to see them very involved with some of the best free agents this upcoming offseason.
