Video: Minnesota Wild Marcus Johansson Breaks Arm Against the Post
The Minnesota Wild will continue to battle it out with the Vegas Golden Knights and do so without forward Marcus Johansson, who suffered a broken arm in Game 3.
Johansson crashed into the net after stepping on the puck trying to elude a Golden Knight forward. Head coach Dean Evason confirmed the bad news on Friday and mentioned the team is going to evaluate and make a decision on his replacement. The expected player would be veteran Zach Parise who has been a healthy scratch, however Evason did not confirm that would be the case.
In 36 games this season with the Wild, Johansson finished with six goals and eight assists during his 36 games. He had yet to record a point in the first three games of this series with the Golden Knights.
At this time, Johansson is expected to be out for the entire Stanley Cup Playoffs. Here's the play that appears to have ended his season:
