Video: Rangers' Artemi Panarin Done for the Season
Artemi Panarin of the New York Rangers is going to miss the final 3 games after he was slammed down to the ice by Washington Capitals goon Tom Wilson.
The chaos ensued in the second period of Monday night's game and Panarin was trying to stick up for a teammate who Wilson just cross-checked and punched in the back of the head. Next thing you know he slams Panarin to the ice, and avoided absolute disaster by only inches, as Panarin's head almost smacked against the ice.
Wilson was given four minutes for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct on the play, but will be facing a massive suspension. Needless to say the Rangers were pretty pissed off after this game.
"We all saw it. There's lines that can't be crossed...one of the star players in this league now who could have been seriously seriously hurt in that incident" - David Quinn on the Tom Wilson incident with Artemi Panarin and Pavel Buchnevich pic.twitter.com/jDxrvNpyQ3
