2 Potential Landing Spots For Oliver Ekman-Larsson

Last season, the Arizona Coyotes put Oliver Ekman-Larsson on the trade block. However, he would only accept trades to the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks, so a deal never was made. The Coyotes are looking to trade him again this off-season, though. This time around, the Coyotes plan on talking to other teams, as OEL is more open towards the idea of having a new home.

These two teams could be excellent fits for the veteran defenseman.

Seattle Kraken

The Seattle Kraken can take a bit of a gamble right now on a guy like Ekman-Larsson. They of course will be building their entire roster this summer through the Expansion Draft. They will have a lot of money to work with, so bringing in a guy like Ekman-Larsson is certainly doable.

Adding a player like him will give them an instant leader, too. Although his past two seasons have been worse from a statistical standpoint, he is still quite serviceable and only 29-years-old. Feeling wanted by a new team like the Kraken could help spark his offense again.

New Jersey Devils

The New Jersey Devils have a lot of money going into next season. Although they missed the playoffs like the Coyotes, they seem to have a brighter future at this juncture. That could be very appealing to Ekman-Larsson.

His offensive ability could make him a fantastic acquisition when it comes to their power play, too. Their young stars like Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier could use a strong passer like Ekman-Larsson to quarterback them. He instantly would be their best overall defenseman in general, too, as he plays a solid two-way game when he's at his best.
