Buffalo Sabres Receiving Trade Calls on 3 Players
The Buffalo Sabres are expected to a very busy team when it comes to trades this offseason and it sounds like the rest of the league is well aware. According to multiple hockey insiders, teams are calling the Sabres about a few of their stars.
The Buffalo Sabres will provide ample content in the weeks ahead. Aside from the ongoing coach search, NHL clubs are calling Buffalo with interest in a number of players, including Jack Eichel. Initial conversations that will increase as we get closer to the Draft.

Jack Eichel, Sam Reinhart and Rasmus Ristolainen are three players to watch for the Sabres as all three are generating a ton of interest on the trade market. When it comes to the forwards, the Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Rangers are extremely interested in acquiring Eichel, meanwhile the Edmonton Oilers would love to get their hands on Reinhart. Ristolainen on the other hand will have a big market as well, with the Vancouver Canucks, Nashville Predators and Anaheim Ducks all having some degree of interest.
Contract status is certainly going to play a role here as Eichel is signed long term for big money, Reinhart needs a contract as a restricted free-agent and Ristolainen has one year left. Any Eichel deal will be for multiple pieces likely future based, Reinhart could fetch a first-round pick and NHL ready prospect, and if you compare a Ristolainen trade to those of Jake Muzzin and Alec Martinez, it's likely the Sabres can get back three solid pieces for their defenseman.
With winning the draft lottery and having three young players who are interesting other teams, this offseason is going very important in Buffalo. If Kevyn Adams messes this up, not only will he need a new job, but Sabres fans mid as well check back in a few years from now.
